Keep the Jev API. Lose the lock-in.
Jein speaks the Jev request format on top of Laya, an open-source decision model. Keep the TypeSafe SDK and the code built on it, switch the key, and run on a model no vendor can take away from you, hosted in the EU and free while we're in preview.

Your code stays
Point the TypeSafe SDK for Python or JavaScript at Jein with two environment variables. The request format is the one you already know.
An open model, no lock-in
Laya is open source. If you ever outgrow a hosted API, run the same model with the same API on your own servers. Nobody changes the terms under you.
Private, in the EU
Requests run on servers in the EU. The texts you send are processed and forgotten: never stored, never used for training.
